Is the warranty still good if you're out of business?
Yes! The lifetime warranty is provided by the manufacturer. Our manufacturer is a large national company who has been in business for 130 years.
What is the cost of vinyl product compared to wood?
Vinyl is stronger, lasts much longer, safer, looks better, and costs much less over time. It may cost the same or more than wood initially, depending local wood prices, type of wood and style of fence or deck. However, over its life it is about one third of the cost. Vinyl is especially cost-effective for the long term because it does not require the surface preparation, priming, painting, and ongoing maintenance that is needed with wood.
Will vinyl burn?
PVC has a flash point of approximately 900 degrees meaning it does not easily ignite. Vinyl is classified as "Self Extinguishing".
Will vinyl fencing yellow over time?
Our vinyl is made of high content titanium dioxide and ultraviolet inhibitors which have been proven to prevent yellowing. Westech vinyl (PVC) is formulated using a superior durable grade of non-chalking TiO2 that protects the vinyl (PVC) from the harmful effects of the Sun's UV rays. As long as your fence is kept clean, with a periodic wash from a garden hose, it will not turn yellow. All of our products carry the manufacturer's lifetime warranty against discoloration and have been field proven to maintain their color. The warranty also covers surface cracking, peeling, chipping, rotting or fading.
Will vinyl fencing chip, peel or decay?
Our vinyl fences are engineered to withstand chipping, peeling, and decay for their full service life.
How do I take care of my vinyl fence?
A mild detergent and water should be sufficient to keep your fence or deck rail looking new. For tough stains, Soft Scrub or baking soda works well. Simple Green and steel wool also works to clean stubborn stains.
